Gefertec, inventor of the innovative 3DMP® method for additive manufacturing of metal parts, offers modern machining centers based on this technology. This 3D metal printing technology has a process based on arc welding technology using wire as a source material. At the EMO show, Gefertec presented its applications developed in cooperation with industry partners, such as an arc405 made from a joint venture between Gefertec and EMAG

Faster and more cost-efficient than powder-based 3D printing

The arc405 was used for a live metal printing demonstration with metal components measuring up to 0.06 m3 with a maximum mass of 200 kg, that can be produced on the 5-axis machine. In the future, EMAG will be responsible for mass production of the 3DMP® machinery. Furthermore, EMAG will also demonstrate at EMO its broad range of applications using 3DMP manufactured components.
