Circuit Design has announced the release of a pre-certified t ransceiver STD-602-429 429 MHz, a module for telemetry and industrial applications in Japan. As well as being suitable for operation in the Japanese market, Circuit Design has taken the extra step of having the module pre-certified with the Type Certification of Construction Design (Giteki mark). This will be a huge benefit to those who would like to implement the module where the production quantity is fairly small.
The module is equipped with two ports which includes a port for data communication. For increased flexibility, the port is transparent giving the user the freedom to apply their own protocol during communication. Additionally, the second port for Circuit Design’s proprietary commands allow easy configuration of the module that includes setting various RF power levels up to a maximum of 10 mW along with channel and various data rate settings. The module occupies a minimal area with a relatively small height (6 mm) of the casing allowing good portability. As required by the Japanese regulations, the carrier sensing is automatically executed whenever the module enters transmission with users able to check the status via the CSE terminal.
