EAO Switch Corporation announces a new rail emergency switch that meets European Technical Specifications of Interoperability for Persons with Reduced Mobility standards. The series 56 door opener has been developed in cooperation between EAO and the French Railways. This pushbutton has been designed for ease of use by disabled passengers, particularly the visually impaired. Its distinctive design contains a large pushbutton within a bright yellow triangular bezel with a maximum visibility in all light levels. The bezel features “SOS” printed in both ink and Braille text.
