For its new flange enclosures, ROSE Systemtechnik exclusively uses stainless steel grades 1.4301 and 1.4404. This means that, in addition to the stainless steel Ex enclosures, the stainless steel industrial enclosures are now also available as standard in the highest material quality. Compared to previous stainless steel enclosure series, the new models also offer numerous further innovations.
The enclosures can now be easily expanded with side-mounted flanges or adapted to specific installation requirements without compromising the protection rating. Previously, enclosures with different connection configurations required a dedicated version for each variant. Now, only a single enclosure model is needed, which can simply be combined with the appropriate flange to meet a wide range of requirements.
Optimised external earthing
With the new stainless steel flange enclosures, ROSE Systemtechnik is also introducing a new captive nut technology that provides users with maximum flexibility. Design engineers are no longer restricted to a predefined mounting grid and can now position mounting points freely. This makes the installation of electrical and electronic components considerably easier than before. Existing accessories from previous stainless steel series remain fully compatible, ensuring that older enclosures can be replaced seamlessly. The external earthing system has been optimised. Weld studs for ring cable lugs are now used, guaranteeing a secure, low-resistance connection. Customers benefit from maximum flexibility here as well, as they can specify the exact position of the studs on the enclosure. With the new stainless steel flange enclosures, ROSE offers external earthing as a standard feature for industrial applications.
Maintenance of the new stainless steel flange enclosures is even simpler than with previous versions. ROSE Systemtechnik has replaced Phillips-head screws with high-quality stainless steel hexagon cover screws. These can be loosened effortlessly even in freezing temperatures, wet conditions or heavy contamination, while also preventing screw head damage caused by overtightening.
A practical new feature of the hinged enclosure versions is the drainage openings on both the upper and lower sides. These allow standing water inside the door to drain away easily. As a result, installation in either orientation is possible without any issues.
