With the AS-i Safety at Work system Bihl+Wiedemann offers a broad range of products that comply with the most recent European safety machine directive. Their safety monitors are capable of monitoring 2 Safety at Work networks as well as 16 release circuits up to SIL 3/Cat. 4. The text display of the monitor provides comprehensive detail diagnostics and system status information. Next their safety output modules allow switching operations in Safety at Work networks to be transferred from the monitor to the peripherals. This helps reducing cabling as well as the used space in the control cabinet. There are safety output modules available with IP20 or IP65 enclosure ratings, thus enabling the connection of optoelectronic protection devices or any type of safety switch to AS-i.
