Configured for maximum torque transmission, the Omniflex torsionally stiff shaft coupling from SCHMIDT-KUPPLUNG offers, in conjunction with special spherical bearings, high universal shaft misalignment compensation without restoring forces. The performance spectrum at nominal torque levels ranges from 3 to 6,400 kNm.The coupling’s design featuring three discs and two sets of links requires very little space. Configured for the specific application, the couplings’ sizes and performance data are defined in accordance with the user's specifications. The choice of bearing pair is based on a wide variety of requirements profiles and is done to suit the application concerned. Besides a high level of torsional stiffness, the couplings’ additional robustness make them predestined for the toughest cycle operations and for applications with very hard impact moments. Offering high precision, they are predestined for industrial heavy duty applications such as press drives, forge rollers, test units for large-scale gearboxes and applications in process engineering.
