Siemens to acquire Perfect Costing Solutions

With its takeover of Perfect Costing Solutions GmbH based in Goeppingen, Germany, the Siemens Industry Automation Division wants to extend its leading position in the field of product lifecycle management software. The relevant agreement was signed yesterday. For more than ten years, Perfect Costing Solutions GmbH has been developing and distributing product cost management and estimation software solutions focusing on the discrete manufacturing industry in general and automotive industries in particular. The newly acquired company will be assigned to the PLM Software Business Unit. Information on the price will not be disclosed.
Perfect Costing Solutions GmbH is a provider of product cost management solutions, headquartered in Goeppingen, Germany. Their some 50 world-wide employees are focused on providing solutions for product cost calculation, methods and estimation tools. Several international corporations and medium-sized businesses have licensed their software Perfect ProCalc in order to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of their business processes in calculating, controlling and optimizing their product costs.
