Motion Control Products launched a new generation of integrated SmartAcutuactor from Tolomatic. This ICR rod-style series of compact, “All-in-one” electric linear actuators (servomotor, drive, controller and actuator integrated into a single unit) is designed to simplify linear motion control for industrial applications. The SmartActuator series provides 100% (24/7 continuous operation) industrial duty cycle motion control, requiring only a DC power source and motion inputs from the host PLC. There are two versions available for ICR series – an “ICR Basic” package, which mimics pneumatic actuators and requires no programming, and an “ICR Plus” package, which allows for full programmability (CanOpen & RS232).
