Enclosing a foul proof probe tip that permits operation in bio-fuel and diesel engine applications, the EGT diesel exhaust gas temperature sensor is manufactured from high temperature Inconel and 316SS. Capable of surviving extreme vibration and heat up to 1200 ºC, the type K thermocouple from The Sensor Connections can withstand extreme conditions. The sensing tip is recommended for EGT temperature measurements of sulfuric fuels such as diesel and bio-fuels. Measuring 4.75 mm in diameter, the EGT probe fits most diesel engine exhaust systems from 19 to 100 mm in diameter with nominal installation modifications. The exhaust gas sensor is available in either a straight or 90º bend to the probe accommodates tight-spaced mounting locations. An adjustable 1/8" 316 stainless steel NPT compression fitting adapter is included. They can be easily customized by the factory for user specific applications. The EGT probe cable, over-braided in stainless steel for heavy-duty abrasion resistance, extends 2 meters in length. Signal wires are Teflon insulated to ensure reliable and consistent high temperature measurement in the most extreme operating conditions.
