XP Power released the HPT5K0 series, a range of high-power density, resonant zero-voltage switching (ZVS) 5kW AC-DC power supplies including both ITE/industrial and medical agency approvals. They feature a three-phase, three-wire, 180 to 528VAC input for simplified installation as there is no need for neutral operation. Through both analog & digital control interfaces, the digital control helps setting both the output voltage (0-105%) and the output current (0-110%). The series also includes a Graphical User Interface (GUI) that defines unique user profiles allowing tailoring of the HPT5K0 units to the end application, including signals & controls.
Flexible and configurable, it helps drive economies of scale
The HPT5K0 series can support I²C, RS232 & RS485 serial buses with digital protocols such as PMBus, CANopen, MODBUS and SCPI. The supplies are packaged in a compact chassis mount package (measuring 330.2mm x 127.0mm x 127.0mm) that provides an efficiency level up to 94%. They can be configured in series or in parallel with full current sharing in order to develop high power systems up to 25kW with output voltages 48VDC to 400VDC in a flexible and high-density way.
