Designed for high demands
The KAWEFLEX® 5288 OCT hybrid cable series from TKD Kabel is designed for use in drag chains, where it serves as a connection between servo controllers and motors, among other applications. As low-capacitance cables, they ensure stable feedback transmission over long distances without signal distortion. A tinned copper braid reliably shields the cores against electromagnetic interference. Thanks to their compact design and special stranding technology, the cables are not only lightweight. Compared to conventional servo cables, KAWEFLEX® 5288 OCT can reduce installation requirements by up to 50 percent.
The OCT design is built for robust use. It is temperature-resistant up to 90°C and stable against oil and, to a large extent, against greases, coolants, and lubricants. The service life of these RoHS-compliant cables is high, with up to 10 million bending cycles. KAWEFLEX® 5288 OCT comprises more than 15 different hybrid cable types, which enable minimum bending radii of up to 5x d.
