Euchner's CES-AS-C04 expands the range of transponder-coded safety switches CES-C04 by a version with integrated AS-Interface. Connection takes place according to the AS-Interface specifications. By the means of an adaptor, the switch is directly connected to the ribbon cable as a slave. The AS-Interface status is identifiable at all times via LEDs integrated into the plug connector.
The compact housing and variable approach and mounting options permit maximum flexibility for design. Thanks to its symmetrical housing, the device can be mounted on doors hinged on the left or right. In addition to the AS-i diagnostic LEDs in the plug connector the CES-AS-C04 is equipped with two LED indicators in the housing to permit rapid diagnostics in any installation position. The integrated LED limit-range indicator allows misalignment of the safety guard to be recognized in good time. This can prevent unintentional standstill of the system.
Transponder coding in the Unicode version provides perfect protection against tampering and ensures at all versions Category 4 / PL e according to EN ISO 13849-1. The high degree of protection IP 67 and the insensitivity to vibrations also permit use in a very harsh environment.
