Baumer developed a function library for the SIMATIC S7, enabling an easy connection of the VeriSens Vision Sensors to system controls. A communication module for data exchange via Ethernet or RS485 is available, together with modules to control the digital inputs and outputs. The library supports both integrated and external communication processors of the SIMATIC® S7-300® and SIMATIC® S7-400® controls, e.g. CPU 315-2 PN/DP. Developing automation solutions becomes much easier thanks to this function library. Optimal process control is achieved thanks to the combination of the performance of the vision sensors with the flexibility of the PLC.
