Adapter for Network Cabling Certification Tools

Fluke, Harting and Hirose announced the availability of an adapter supporting the ix Industrial connector for its DSX CableAnalyzer family of network cabling certification tools. This adapter enables the DSX series to connect to cabling systems employing the ix Industrial for the purpose of pre-start up verification and troubleshooting. The ix Industrial is a joint venture between Hirose and Harting. This rugged Ethernet connector for harsh environments complies with IEC 61076-3-124 and is 70% smaller than the RJ45 connector.

DSX CableAnalyzer™ allows for pre-start up verification and is a trouble-shooter for ix Industrial

The miniaturized ix Industrial connector can handle communications rates up to 10 Gbps when used with Category 6A or Class EA cabling. Coming with an enhanced PCB retention force, its durability is of up to 5 000 mating cycles with a high level of resistance to electromagnetic interference (EMI). The DSX CableAnalyzer Series supports a wide variety of in-plant cabling up to and including Category 8, single and multi-mode fiber and standards from the Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA), ISO/IEC standards and the Institute for Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE).
