    Comprehensive Action Program at SENSOR+TEST

The SENSOR+TEST 2014 from the 3rd to the 5th of June in Nürnberg is more than just a trade fair: Besides the exhibition itself, the extensive action program offers visitors numerous other opportunities to get up to date on the state of the art in sensor, measuring, and testing technology at first hand.
Open to visitors are thus brief presentations by the exhibitors at the technical forums in Halls 11 and 12 on their latest products and developments and their potential applications. At the "Innovative Testing" forum, experts from industry and research present especially innovative and future-oriented sensor technologies and measuring processes in dedicated lectures on the second day of the fair.

The Action Area between Halls 11 and 12 will again let measuring and testing technology come alive. This year, the driving-test grounds with diverse vehicles also offer an air show: Using a quadrocopter, the Sensor Application Center of the University of Applied Sciences Regensburg is to demonstrate the utility of flying robotic platforms for imaging and inspection tasks, for instance at wind parks and solar plants or for fire fighting and disaster relief.
This can also be considered as a contribution to this year's special topic "Safety and Security": Today, sensor, measuring, and testing technology provides ever more safety and security in industrial processes as well as in our homes. The fields of application extend from sensors that detect the quality of the air to condition monitoring systems that permanently monitor the integrity of building structures. The lecture forum in Hall 12 is also dedicated to this year's special topic, to be presented in various technical talks and an expert podium discussion on the first day of the fair. A theme park dealing with "Safety & Security in Industrial Production" will complement the ample information offered at the trade fair.
