Crimp Connectors

Crimp connections of cable to contacts, like the ones from Conec, have many advantages. They largely removes the 'skill' factor, since the design of the crimping tools ensures a repeatable and proper crimp every time. Crimp connections are easily inspectable, and for some industries like aviation, are mandated. They are faster to make, and can be automated for high volume run. Crimped wires avoid the problem of solder fusing the strands, resulting in loss of flexibility near the contact. Crimp type of contacts are removable, allowing repair for misplaced or damaged contacts.
