The Cartesian system from IntelLiDrives is a direct drive single plane positioning stage that utilizes planar linear motor technology. The 2 components system consists of passive, magnet-free stationary platen, constructed of lightweight composite materials, and a dual axes moving forcer, gliding on the air bearings. The scalable forcer design provides forces from 25 N to 200 N, motion repeatability of 1 micron and travel lengths from 2 m to 3 m. This system is capable of velocities of 2m/sec.  Typical applications include robotics, pick and place automation, electromechanical assembly, material transfer systems, laser cutting, testing and dispensing.
