Andreas joined Emerson in 2004 and was instrumental in the global launch of the DeltaV SIS modern process safety system. Over the past six years, as Director of Strategic Services, he has established a European services and solutions organisation to help customers to operate their plants in a more efficient, reliable and safe way.
Andreas has over 22 years' experience in the process automation industry, starting his career with Lurgi in Germany. "I am delighted to announce the appointment of Andreas Fuchs to this important position," says Roel van Doren, President of Emerson Process Management Europe. "Our customers are looking for a reliable partner to help them meet the challenges of project certainty and improved operational performance. Andreas has both the experience and leadership skills to support these requirements in this strategically important market."
"It is an exciting time to become General Manager of the German organisation, with our customers increasingly turning to Emerson to support their large scale complex projects, as well as helping them to meet the latest safety legislation, reduce downtime and increase efficiency of their existing assets," says Andreas Fuchs. "Emerson is ideally positioned to help its customers to meet these challenges and strive towards operational excellence."
Andreas takes over from Gertjan van der Ven, who having held the position for the last five years has been promoted to a strategic role within Emerson.
