The key event for the embedded community in 2014 will take place from 25 to 27 February in Nuremberg, Germany. Exhibitors from around the world will present the entire spectrum of embedded systems (hardware and software, tools and services) at the embedded world Exhibition & Conference 2013. Also in 2014, specialists can again look forward to two informative and high-profile conferences: the embedded world Conference and the electronic displays Conference. Experts at the highest level can network and exchange ideas at the conferences. The call for papers and workshops has already started.

"Famous worldwide, the international conferences embedded world Conference and electronic displays Conference are the annual summit for innovative minds in the embedded-systems industry. Embedded systems are an engine of economic growth since they have applications in so many areas. We need this growth to improve living conditions for all people on this planet. This is the only way to create a peaceful future," says Dr Matthias Sturm, HTWK Leipzig, Chairman of the embedded world Conference Committee.

In addition to the trade show, the embedded world Conference offers knowledge transfer on current issues of embedded-systems development in numerous top-tier presentations and workshops at NürnbergMesse's NCC Ost. "Today the conference is one of the most important knowledge platforms worldwide for embedded systems developers. The smartest minds from around the world gather for it in Nuremberg," says Dr Sturm. Under the slogan, "smart connection, smart software, smart systems", the conference reflects all fields of this exciting technology. Embedded systems are also the foundation of the "Internet of things"; both sensor and communication networks and high-performance middleware allow a wide variety of new applications.
