Available for actuator-sensor interfaces, the ASI Future allows for cable cross-sections of 2.5 mm² and has the same outer dimensions as previous 2x1.5 mm² flat cables from Nexans. Offered in the robust design variants PUR and TPE, it features a halogen-free, soft rubber sheath. The robust cables feature high oil, abrasion and flame (TPE up to 105°C) resistance. They allow use of conventional ASI modules originally designed for 1.5 mm² cables. This backward-compatibility significantly reduces number of power packs and associated fuse protection required for bridging longer sections. The PUR version is also suitable for use in drag chains.
