Faced with spiraling raw materials costs, fierce competition for scarce resources, high energy costs and the increasing "greening" of demand, small and medium enterprises alike worldwide are re-thinking how they do business. They are under immense pressure to boost their sustainability - a major challenge necessitating the development and use of environmentally friendly products and processes and green technologies. "Hannover Messe's 'greentelligence' theme reflects this trend," said Dr. Wolfram von Fritsch, Chairman of the Managing Board at Deutsche Messe. "The exhibitors at all eight flagship fairs being staged at Hannover Messe 2012 will demonstrate that an intelligent mix of efficient processes, eco-friendly materials and sustainable products is critical to survival in today's highly competitive, dynamic international markets."
Hannover Messe 2012 runs from 23 to 27 April. Over those five days, companies from around the globe will explore current industry trends in the pivotal fields of automation, energy technology, industrial supply and subcontracting services and R&D. The Hannover Messe 2012 lineup will also feature IndustrialGreenTec, a new trade fair dedicated to pioneering ideas and market-ready products in the field of environmental technology and sustainability. The new trade fair will give manufacturing companies something they've never had before: a dedicated international showcase for the products and processes needed for eco-friendly and sustainable manufacturing.
Hannover Messe's Industrial Automation fair will also be staged under the "greentelligence" banner. The exhibitors at that event will, among much else, be showcasing solutions for intelligent, energy-efficient and environmentally sustainable process and production automation, with a strong focus on intelligent industrial IT.
