ecom, a Pepperl+Fuchs brand, developed the Smart-Ex 02 4G/LTE Android smartphone, an intrinsically safe, explosion proof smartphone for Zone 1/21 and Div. 1. It features a 12.7 cm shock- and scratch-resistant display and can be operated in a temperature range from -20°C to +60°C. Moreover, it supports 21 LTE frequency bands.

Intuitive operation and easy integration

The Smart-Ex 02 has an intuitive operational interface which enables immediate connection with additional peripheral devices such as the Cube 800 Ex-camera. This allows for the easy integration of the smartphone in industrial monitoring processes and the creation of a fully mobile enterprise management system.
