The R-Series Ethernet Powerlink sensor by MTS is designed for use in dynamic control applications with short cycle times. A resolution of 1 micron is possible for lengths from 25 to 20,000mm. Position and velocity measurements can be provided for up to four locations on the sensor. The sensor can be integrated into the network without further programming. Various housings and a profi le for external sensor mounting on the motion axis are optional. Versions for direct installation in the hydraulic cylinder or limited space are available.
