Miniaturized Ultrasonic Sensor

Characterized by a compact body with a length of 6cm, including the connector, the UK6 series ultrasonic sensors from M.D. Micro Detectors, detect the presence of any colored and shining objects at a distance up to 900 mm. The maximum distance adjustment and the “normally open/normally closed” switching state selection are possible through the remote teach-in cable, without any further external accessory. The remote teach-in system, allows an easier sensor adjustment, and avoids all possible sensor tampering. The M12 connector output with 4-pins allows the use of the most common connectors. Temperature compensation of the whole -10 to 60°C working range ensures detection reliability. Protected to IP67, the sensors have a plastic body that is filled with resin to allow them to be used in applications subject to vibration. ATEX certified models, in accordance with the 94/9/EC directive, are also available. These can be used in all applications requiring a standard safety level (Group II, Cat.3) in case of gas (Zone 2) and dust (Zone 22) presence.
