On December 15th, the supervisory board of Husumer Wirtschaftsgesellschaft (HWG) voted to confirm Peter Becker as its managing director on a permanent basis. Becker, a 42-year-old lawyer, brings with him the experience gained over ten successful years at the Flensburg Chamber of Commerce and Industry (IHK), and as head of the IHK’s North Frisia branch office. He is not just a major authority on the regional economy, but also on the energy industry, as this was his area of responsibility for the Schleswig-Holstein Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
Peter Becker is now responsible for the NordseeCongressCentrum, which opened its doors for the first time in August, and for the Husum trade fairs. These include Nord Gastro und Hotel, New Energy Husum, Bau und Ambiente, as well as the biennial HUSUM WindEnergy, the leading international wind energy trade fair.
