HBM is expanding its range of piezoelectric force washers into the lower nominal forces with the 20 kN version of the CFW series. This force washer has a diameter of just 14.5 mm and a height of 7 mm. The piezoelectric principle of measurement with which the force washer works has a sensitivity that does not depend on the nominal force and it is therefore recommended for measurements in the partial load ranges where greater resolution is required. The symmetrical design of the sensor represents good linearity characteristic and simple mounting as the inner and outer ring of the sensor can be solidly connected to the surrounding construction.
