    Position Sensor

Posic introduces the differential inductive position sensor IS2201. The sensor measures only 6.2 x 8.6 mm with a thickness of 0.9 mm and has a differential analog output signal. The bandwidth is 40 kHz at an airgap up to 1.5 mm. Targets can be made of ferromagnetic or electrically conducting materials like steel, copper, aluminum and brass. The sensor detects a lateral movement in front of the sensor-face, e.g. a gear or slotted disc for speed control, a single tooth for index- or stop-position or for short-range linear measurement.
