TE Connectivity (TE) announces the end of the interniship of the local student Floris Hebben at the company’s Den Bosch facility with the completion of a thesis on the Smart Prototype Factory. Floris, who has been studying at the Technical University Eindhoven, spent five months with TE investigating the benefits of having a Smart Prototype Factory in the TE facility. The main aim of a Smart Prototype Factory is to combine mass customization with next-day delivery of prototypes.

TE and the university are long-time collaborators on various projects and Floris was already familiar with the company when he started his internship. With its completion, he has now successfully finalized his Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering & Innovation Science.

Mark Maas, Senior Manager Innovation at TE in Den Bosch and Floris’s mentor, says: “Floris did a great job in his internship and gave TE a lot of new insights in this project. TE is always willing to give talented students an internship where they can put their capabilities and knowledge to good use.”
