The CC-Link Partner Association (CLPA) has recently announced the launch of CC-Link IE TSN technology. Building on the CLPA’s successful pedigree of open automation networks, CC-Link IE TSN combines the unmatched bandwidth of open gigabit Ethernet with the future-orientated technology of Time-Sensitive Networking (TSN), offering manufacturing industries the technology they need to address the challenges of Industry 4.0.

Performance, connectivity, intelligence

The new technology focuses on three core areas – performance, connectivity and intelligence – and offers the highest productivity Industry 4.0 solution available. As an open technology, CC-Link IE TSN gives freedom of choice to end users, OEMs and device vendors, and has a wealth of intelligent features, thus reducing both time to market and downtime, while increasing productivity. What’s more, the technology offers backwards compatibility with existing gigabit and 100Mbit CC-Link IE networks. Many different industries, including automotive, food & beverage, consumer electronics, semiconductor and converting, are set to benefit from its array of impressive features.
