On the occasion of its trade fair SENSOR+TEST, to be held May 26-28, 2009 in Nürnberg, Germany, AMA Association for Sensor Technology has announced its international competition for the SENSOR Innovation Award, which is endowed with 10,000 Euros. “We had more submitted entries than ever before, and their quality was very high. This gave the jury a tough time reaching this year’s decision for the first round nominations to the Award” said jury chairman Prof. Andreas Schütze from Saarland University. A record of 63 innovations were submitted. “Over the last years, the proportion of non-German entries has stabilized at about one third. This turnout is quite pleasing. We congratulate the nominees for being picked.”
