Transportation Connectors

Designed to overcome the harsh environments commonly found in heavy transportation applications, the APD series connectors from ITT Interconnect Solutions are sealed to IP 67/69K with individual wire sealing and are vibration resistant. They include a wide range of 1 or 2-way high power and 4-way high voltage interconnects up to 51 way interface connectors, plus special and PCB-type versions. A broad variety of layouts extends the range of possible end applications. Electrical specifications cover requirements up to 48 VDC and up to 20 A power. The connectors also provide a flexible platform for customized applications. Resistant to diesel, oil and brake fluids, they feature a bayonet locking system to cope with high vibration. For ultra heavy duty usage the APD 19/51 way additionally offers a secondary locking feature for easy contact installation and guaranteed contact alignment. All connectors are color coded and have mechanical keying for ease of use. Although originally designed for transportation, off-road and special vehicle markets, the interconnects are also a proven choice for military and industrial applications that demand small, lightweight harsh environment solution.
