Basler, one of the world's leading industrial digital camera suppliers, supports the decision of Stuttgart Fairgrounds to change to a bi-yearly mode for the VISION show from 2014 on. According to the company, this rhythm reflects the current market and innovation cycles of the imaging industry in a good way and allows exhibitors to show a broad spectrum of attractive innovations at every VISION show. In addition, the usual date in November matches very well with the existing show landscape. In Basler's opinion, this new setup strengthens the VISION's undisputed position as the world's leading imaging show.
"As one of the largest and long lasting exhibitors, we completely endorse the new show concept", explains CEO Dr. Dietmar Ley. "We understand the decision to cancel this year's show because visitors probably wouldn't have found the usual amount of innovations due to the early date in September. Therefore we think that this year is the right time to change to a two-year cycle. We are already looking forward to many more successful VISION shows with exciting news products and the usual sophisticated supporting program. Basler will apply for one of the coveted spaces as soon as the show organizers start planning for VISION 2014."
