With the Hirschmann™ BAT300 FX2, Belden launched the world’s first ATEX-certificated WLAN Access Point with support for the new IEEE 802.11n transmission standard. This enables WLAN networks with data rates up to 300 Mbit/s to be installed even in hazardous areas rated Ex zone 2. The integrated MIMO antenna technology (multiple input multiple output) ensures a stable wireless connection. Other features of these Access Points include extensive management, security and quality of service functions plus layer 3 IP routing. This device is designed to operate at temperatures in range -30°C to +50°C and also fulfills all shock-resistance, vibration-resistance and electromagnetic compatibility requirements (EN 50155).
