ALUMINIUM and COMPOSITES EUROPE: Trade Fair Twin for Lightweight Construction

Lightweight construction is the current trend, and in the fields of automotive construction, aviation or civil engineering it is inseparably linked to aluminium and composite materials. This is why this is one of the most important lightweight construction summits of the year: from 9 to 11 October the ALUMINIUM World Trade Fair and COMPOSITES EUROPE, the European Trade Fair for composites showcase key technologies and applications for the lightweight construction markets in Düsseldorf. More than 1,300 exhibitors from more than 50 countries are expected. In the medium term, global aluminium consumption will continue to increase.
The recovering demand from major application markets is also felt at ALUMINIUM 2012, the world's largest meeting place for the industry. Following its move from Essen to Düsseldorf the trade fair will start out with a strong growth (+20 %) in exhibition area and 950 exhibitors from 50 countries.
At COMPOSITES EUROPE, approximately 400 exhibitors showcase the trends in the field of composite materials - from the latest-generation GRPs to today's most innovative carbon applications in vehicle and aircraft construction. Centre of attention at this year's fair will be the topics of automation and serial production of composite materials.
