With the Aventics Smart Pneumatics Analyzer (SPA), Emerson provides a mobile solution easy to integrate into IIoT. Its suitcase shows the user how to obtain digitized information by using existing standard components, thanks to its algorithms that are based on decades of know-how from product development and application. This solution can record energy consumption and detect leaks in the compressed air system.
Enabling predictive maintenance
The SPA carries out measurements without intervening in the PLC controlled processes. Also, the Smart Pneumatics Monitor (SPR), included in the SPA and combined with Emerson’s fieldbus solution AES, allows predictive maintenance through evaluating existing sensor signals and deriving status information from them. Furthermore, thanks to edge computing, no additional software or cloud connection is required.
