    Electrical Wholesalers Summit Addresses Industry Trends and Challenges

This year, the 64th edition of the European Union of Electrical Wholesalers’ (EUEW) General Convention will take place at Dolce La Hulpe Hotel in Brussels. The EUEW is a 16-nation federation representing the interests of the electrical wholesaling channel comprising 1050 member companies. The convention will welcome nearly 300 delegates and guests from more than 120 leading electrical wholesaler and manufacturer companies across 21 European countries, with key representatives of peer organizations such as EuroCommerce, ETIM International, FEST and AIE, and members of the international press.


The topics to be developed during the event include: improving and securing the value of each business in Europe, gauging trends and challenges for electronical wholesalers, identifying opportunities of the circular economy, artificial intelligence, digitalization, knowing more about China’s vision on leading innovation, and understanding the European anti-trust and competition laws. More generally, the convention aims to further shed light on the objectives, strategies and priorities at the European Union level.


An opportunity to introduce EUEW’s new President

 
Introducing guest speakers such as Guy Wollaert, Matthias De Clercq, Pascal Coppens, Ian Heller, Maxim Kleine or Jan Janse, EUEW will also present its new president, Alexander Dewulf, CEO at Cebeo Sonepar Belgium. He will replace Ulrich Liedtke, Executive Vice President of Würth Elektrogroßhandel GmbH & Co. KG, at a Presidential Ceremony during the gala dinner at the Royal Museum of Fine Arts.
