Axetris extends its range of high-performance mass flow controllers (MFC). They are now available with the PROFINET interface. PROFINET, a well-established standard for industrial networking in automation, connects various devices and systems and will allow Axetris customers to easily integrate the MFCs as PROFINET IO devices.

In-line with IIoT and Industry 4.0

MFCs are getting increasingly connected, in-line with trends such as Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) and Industry 4.0. This has led to a huge increase in demand for industrial interfaces, both fieldbuses and Ethernet-based interfaces. They allow ease of integration within complex installations, and opens up new vistas for ease of service, e.g. remote diagnosis and repair. They make scalable architectures possible and decrease costs for production and data monitoring.
