Thanks to the MB Building Kit System of item Industrietechnik GmbH in Solingen, Eberhardt Elektromotoren (Gosselfingen) realised a test facility for hydraulic and pneumatic nozzles. Eberhardt, a traditional family company, specialises in the sale and repair of electric motors and tools as well as the control and special plant engineering and construction of industrial machinery. The company has extensive experience with the programming and implementation of SPC control units, frequency converters and remote-access control systems as well as the modernisation of systems, which is often carried out without a disruption of operations.

Eberhard recently implemented a test facility on a base area of 3260 x 2260 mm and a height of 2980 mm for one of the largest manufacturers of pneumatic and hydraulic nozzles for various applications. The customer's functional requirements for the test facility, which was destined for placement in Asia, was a horizontal and vertical adjustability of the test pieces, measurement of the spray angle, flow rate and pressure of the nozzles and measuring glass filling to determine the spray performance and dispersion of the ejected medium.

The Eberhardt company chose the MB Building Kit System to implement this task. item Industrietechnik GmbH in Solingen designs and supplies the MB Building Kit System, which offers individual solutions for industrial plant engineering and construction. The company's Building Kit System is based on aluminium profiles, a harmonised connection method and versatile functional components.

The details: The base frame of the test facility is made up of MB Building Kit System type 8 profiles in normal and light finish. The vertical adjustment of the test pieces is guaranteed by item's linear guidance system, which can be electrically fine-tuned via a linear thread with shaft unit KGT. The horizontal axis is constructed with a linear guide, which is electrically driven by a timing belt. The motor is flanged via the clutch housing to the timing belt baffle. The two guide axes are synchronised via the item synchronous shaft profile 14 with connecting shaft and synchronous shaft coupling. The pneumatic supply of the test piece with relevant gases is achieved via a profile 80x80, which simultaneously serves as a buffer for smooth allocation and is sealed and supplied by pneumatic connecting plates. The pump capacity is 1-22 bar at a flow rate of max. 600 l/min. The control unit, flashing made from up to 2 mm strong stainless steel sheets, the water basin and catchment tank were produced by Eberhardt.
