Gates has partnered with one of the UK’s leading fluid power training providers to enhance the expertise of the next generation of hydraulic systems engineers. They provided the National Fluid Power Centre (NFPC) with hoses and couplings from the new Gates MEGASys™ MXT™ hydraulic systems range now fitted to a hydraulic system training rig in NFPC’s Technical Centre 3, in Worksop, Nottinghamshire.

“The NFPC is proud to integrate the latest technology in our training rigs and facilities,” John Savage, director of NFPC

The MEGASys MXT hydraulics product range has set new standards for product performance, efficiency, durability and speed of installation. The hoses meet the performance and dimension standards such as EN 853 2SN and EN 857 2SC, as well as ISO 1436 R2, ISO 11237 R16, R17 and 19. The lightweight OE quality hoses contribute significantly to the weight saving targets without compromising on strength and durability. Kevin Follows, hydraulic systems and field engineering manager concluded: “MEGASys MXT hose technology features a 35% reduction in the force required to bend it, which makes routing around confined spaces far easier and more ergonomic for installers”.
