The IO-Link Master for Profibus-DP from Phoenix Contact now includes firmware functions for optimized Profibus integration. As a Profibus stand-alone module, the FLS PB M12 IOL 4 M12 device offers simplified wiring for analog measuring sensors through direct digital transmission of the measured signal, standardized parameter management through integrated service data transfer and diagnostic data transfer integrated in the IO-Link protocol. Four IO-Link channels permit communications to be established to IO-Link-capable sensors and actuators. They are also downwards compatible to binary sensors.
