The Eltrotec light barrier FA 98 ULTRA with ultrasonic fork frame has been designed to detect transparent labels, printed with metal particle lacquers on transparent backing films. It works at a precision rate of 100% when triggering labeling machines. With its rim width of 3mm and a fork depth of 70 mm it can be applied for various labels and, due to its depth, even reaches significant trigger points located further on the inside of a carrier material. High repeatability is ensured with a switching frequency of 1 KHz and the simple adjustment of rims and gaps via teach-in. Because of the ultrasonic principle there are no effects of extraneous light on the sensor.
