Microprecision introduced a new range of microswitches MP83, for general purpose use. Versatile, these snap action switches are IP40 protected. They are complementary to the MP300 range of pre-cabled switches with IP67 protection. Economic, this range is designed to operate in temperatures from -60°C to +130°C. They are UL/EN certified with a power rating of 250VAC/16A, with a standard activation force of 0.8N. If required, a high force variant is available and allows the use of a telescopic actuator, with a pin or roller plunger. Both variants provide a wide choice of easy clip on lever actuators such as straight levers, roller levers, or simulated roller levers.

Mechanical life of up to 20 million cycles

The switches’ operating force can be adapted through different clip positions for the levers. The switch works as a change-over circuit (SPDT) and can be connected using the 6.3 x 0.8 mm quick connect terminals. The MP83 fits numerous applications (transport, machinery, automation, appliances in the process industries, and more) thanks to its wide range of actuators. It is the right choice where no sealing protection is required and where the price is a dominant consideration.
