Novotema, the Italian sealing manufacturer located in Villongo (BG) Italy, celebrated its 40th year of activity.
The company, specialized in the manufacture of moulded rubber seals and elastomer components, has grown considerably over the last four-decades. Latest figures highlighted a turnover of $30.6m revenue and 175 employees (2017).
A ruby anniversary
Celebrating its ruby anniversary, Novotema successfully manufactures precision moulded parts for a diverse range of industries but its focus markets over the next few years include industrial, medical, chemical processing and food & dairy. There are over 2000+ rubber moulders in Italy, 200 of which are located in the ‘rubber valley’. Novotema remains in the heart of ‘rubber valley’ and is showing no signs of slowing down.
Production size
The 8400 sq.m. manufacturing facility produces 850 million pieces per year (4M/day). Over the last four decades the business has achieved numerous quality certifications including ISO 9001, ISO TS 16949 quality for automotive supply; ISO 13485 quality for medical devices, ISO 14001 for environmental and OHSAS 18001 certification.
Testing of rubber membranes
Novotema developed and patented a process and equipment for the testing of rubber membranes in 2011 as well as developing and patenting a method for the modulation of friction coefficient in a rubber product via plasma technology in 2013.
International sales to date are spread across Germany, Italy, Austria, Czech Republic, France, Mexico and the UK.
