Souriau has obtained a K2 qualification of its 8N45S Series nuclear grade connectors. Compliant with RCC-E 2005 design and manufacturing standard, these connectors integrate a screen termination mechanism that ensures perfect continuity and high shielding performance. K2 is the qualification for use inside the containment building of nuclear reactors, under normal and seismic operating conditions, also referred to as mild environments. The K2 qualification of 8N45S Series connectors has been delivered by EDF SEPTEN. They are Class 1E connectors with quick connect 1/4 turn bayonet coupling and shielding continuity.
