The high definition 640 x 480 pixels detectorof the FLIR T650 SC which is included in the SC650 pack generates crisp and clear detailed imagesthat are easy to interpret, resulting in reliable thermal experiments with higher accuracy. It makestemperature differences as small as 35 mK clearly visible. A 5 Megapixel digital camera assures clearvisual images. Users that do not need this high image quality can chose for the SC450 pack that includes a T450 scgenerating thermal images of 320 x 240 pixels. It incorporates a 3.1 Megapixel digital camera.
The FLIR T650 SC measures temperature of up to +2,000 °C. The FLIR T450 SC up to +1,500 °C. Bothmodels have a high accuracy of +/- 1ºC or +/- 1% which is necessary in an R&D environment. Analysistools include spotmeters, automatic hot/cold detection markers and isotherm (above/below/interval).
