Analog Devices has built an ecosystem to develop state-of-the-art power-management solutions that address specifically the challenges of battery management, in order to cover the entire signal chain. ADI aims to demonstrate that precision control of state-of-charge of every cell in a battery stack is essential to optimizing performance from lithium-ion, while duration and lifetime can be boosted up to 25%. This would show ADI capabilities in battery stack voltage monitoring, active cell balancing, and in isolated communication to safely transmit measurement and control data in the BMS architecture.
Moreover, during PCIM 2019, ADI specialists will engage discussions around today’s power conversion technology challenges. ADI staff will be available for in-depth discussions about optimizing high voltage, high frequency power converter circuit topologies, but also isolated gate driving and power management ICs (PMICs). Furthermore, ADI’s product family can offer a high-performance combination of parts that can optimize the output of chargers and inverters based on SiC and GaN power MOSFETs. For example, pairing digital iCoupler technology with innovative PMICs results in designs with lowest EMI and highest efficiency.
