Based on the reliable BL20 fieldbus system, this comprehensive RFID system for Ex areas from Turck includes the fi rst intrinsically safe data carriers (tags) which allow numerous new applications even in zone 1 - from coupling surveillance to labelling of proprietary plant components to the preventive maintenance of drill pipes. Besides the BL indent components, the Namur sensor product line will be another highlight for the field of process automation. All inductive, capacitive, and magnetic field sensors with standardized Namur output are now approved for dust zone 20 and gas zone 1 - many even up to zone 0. All sensors mentioned are approved for use in safety-related applications up to SIL2, in accordance with IEC 61508.
