In 2011, ACE Stoßdämpfer increased sales by 8.4 million Euros to the record sum of 37.1 million Euros which is an increase of 30 percent over the previous year. The strength of ACE in Germany also took into account transferred business from the sister company in the USA. The European Sales partners that were supplied directly from America up until 2010 have been exclusively managed from Germany since 2011. This one-off effect contributed to the result, however even without this, the increase was much higher than the original expectation and the figures of competitors within the industry.
ACE Stoßdämpfer sales region comprises continental Europe, South America, Africa, India and the Middle East. The highest increase in sales of 48% was achieved in those areas outside the EU. The extra sales achieved in Germany totalled 20 % which corresponds to a sales growth of 4.4 million Euros. This means that the home market is by far the strongest market segment for this company from Langenfeld. According to this manufacturer of brake and shock absorber solutions, the greatest growth rates in the future will be generated in regions outside Europe. There are particularly high expectations of the Chinese market which is why the company began setting up its own sales organisation in China in 2011. The past business year was also marked by a significant increase in the workforce. The number of permanently employed workers rose by almost 25%. Dr. Peter Kremer (picture) will be joining the management team as deputy managing director.
