In various applications, an external measured distance value display for visually presenting a distance, length or position is absolutely essential for an operator. An external digital display can be directly connected to the DLS-C distance measuring device from Dimetix to show the measured distance values with millimeter-precision. For manual cross-cut saws, for example, the section length is thus shown to the operator. The necessary calculations and the adapting of the display format are handled directly by the distance measuring device, which saves you the need to use a PLC and also the expensive integration. When performing assembly alignments or monitoring the positioning of objects, large displays are used that make it possible to read the current position, even from a great distance. The distance sensor measures on a variety of materials such as wood, steel, concrete etc. The model laser measures with millimeter precision independent of color and surface. The distance measuring device measures absolute distances up to 150 meters without contact and with an accuracy of 1.5 millimeters. It represents a solution even at extreme ambient temperatures as low as -40° C, using the optional heater.
