This series of laser distance sensors from Dimetix enables high precision measurement over long distances in the industrial sector. The D-Series allows to do measurements up to 500 meters with a measuring accuracy of +/-1 mm and a repeat accuracy of +/-0.3 mm. They feature a measuring speed of 250 Hz, an output frequency that can be set up to 1 KHz, and work in a temperature range from -40 to +60°C. Moreover, the measuring accuracy is maintained even when measuring on deep black surfaces and in direct sunlight.

In order to make the measurement results available easily and quickly, the D-Series delivers the serial interface RS232, RS422 and SSI, implemented as standard, and two programmable digital outputs, a digital input and a precision analog output (0.1%). It is also possible to add PROFINET, EtherNet/IP and EtherCAT interfaces by changing the housing cap. Last, the sensors come in an IP65 housing.
